LET’S CUT OUT THE BULLSHIT ALTOGETHER
The recession is over; China is back to full production and India says its economy is on track to regain its exponential10% p.a growth rate. Where in the hell are they shipping their rubbish to? It certainly isn’t America and Europe. When Indian tribes owning key land for industrial development are holding out and refusing to sell; the various lower order castes in abject poverty that make up the bulk of the population; or even worse still the tens of millions still begging on the streets of Calcutta, New Delhi and every other large city, I find what I read is nothing but ridiculous propaganda and absolute boloney. Why are the media and Wall Street so possessed with singing their praises and giving us these constant success stories of two countries who are nothing but rogue nations in every sense of the word? My belief is the deal behind it is they are actually doing telling Americans that unless they are prepared to sell their labor for the Chinese/Indian equivalent, there will be no jobs left for them here! How un-American is that?
Meanwhile back at the ranch, today we were informed the economy not only grew 3.5%, but using some nefarious new measuring rod, the ISM Index, we are now at 55.7, the best ever growth since these records were started two years ago! Anything under 50 means growth is negative. Here we have factories continuing to close by the thousands, People losing jobs by the millions, banks still in all sorts of trouble, credit absolutely impossible to come by, hotels less than 50% occupied, transportation remaining at a grinding halt, home sales off by over 50% and foreclosures continuing to rise, new car sales back to a crawl and more people in employment than ever before accepting to work for less just to keep their jobs.
What we need to hear is the truth, not bullshit that gives the punters on Wall Street another opportunity the fleece the country. In this truth has to be the politicians coming clean and telling us, putting Wall Street to one side, that the WTO and free trade agreements have destroyed the very fragment of American society and the only way out is to place tariffs on products that can be better made in America by Americans. America needs to get the hell out of the WTO and “unsign” all free trade agreements and then using the stimulus plan and other incentives to reopen factories and get people back to work . President Obama, I love your ideal of everyone grabbing hold of a better education and therefore all being able to espouse to be lawyers, scientists, doctors and investment bankers, but that is not the reality. We have enough of these idiots already. We live in an unnecessarily litigious society, our scientists are not making better, more fuel efficient cars, healthcare is nothing but a joke and when it comes to investment bankers these assholes have literally destroyed civilization as we knew it!
In Denmark, a rubbish collector can live next door to a doctor, have him as a friend and feel no stigma attached to the career path he chose. A plumber cleaning out the sewer pipe is doing just as honorable a job as a 747 pilot. In a small town that once centered around a factory making sox with an unskilled labor force, but is now virtually a ghost town, all because the Chinese could make them for a nickel less for Wal-Mart, has destroyed the lives of good hard working citizens. Unless patriotism takes over from kiss-ass sucking up to China, India and every other real enemy of the States, President Obama you will end up perpetuating the mess Cheney and Bush left us in. We need good paying jobs now and the quickest and best way to achieve that is to shut the door on free trade. The experiment worked for the low-life and poor countries, but was an abysmal failure for us.
Barack, mate, can you place a lid on Wall Street as you promised and start taking some real action. America must get back to looking after its own first. It is every American’s basic right to be able to be gainfully employed.
